During winter, Lake Maggiore transforms into a suspended place, a realm of the mind where the boundary between dream and reality dissolves. The gardens of the villas, wrapped in winter slumber, become the setting for dreamlike visions, inhabited by fleeting shadows and nocturnal creatures emerging just beyond the twilight. Here, among frost-veiled paths and ethereal mirrors of water, the secret domains are not merely hidden spaces but portals to a profound dialogue with the landscape. Il Lago Maggiore, in particolare, incarna una duplice essenza: la sponda piemontese, raffinata ed elegante, e la sponda lombarda, più selvaggia e misteriosa, entrambe disseminate di ville storiche che celano giardini nascosti, vere e proprie stanze segrete immerse in un silenzio vibrante. Durante l'inverno, il Lago Maggiore si trasfigura in un luogo sospeso, un regno della mente dove il confine tra sogno e realtà si dissolve. I giardini delle ville, avvolti da un sonno invernale, diventano scenari di visioni oniriche, abitati da ombre sfuggenti e creature notturne che emergono appena dalla penombra.
